help identify a rimfire cartridge please

can anyone help me figure out what this rimfire cartridge is? third pic has a 7.62X39 shell for scale. i cant find it listed in my cartridges of the world book(i know its not the most inclusive but its all i have).

Looks to be a 10.4X38R Vetterli (Swiss) made in the 20s or 30s by Peters in the US

Hmmm- Just a WAG on my part, but maybe Spencer 56-46? Take a look at picture #15, see if that might be your'n. http://members.shaw.ca/cartridge-corner/idpics2.htm

41 swiss = about 20.00 peters load not made in USA since WW2

thanks for the link to those pictures of rimfires, i knew it wasn't a spencer but i think jonk is right, 10.4 swiss.

Concur on the Swiss ID, there's 3 of them in the top row. There's a 56-46 Spencer (short neck version by Leet) in the 2nd photo (along with some other Spencers). The cartridges to the right of the 41 Swiss and left of the 56-46 Spencer are the same in both photos.
