Eddystone P17 Enfield
Picked this up at the Syracuse gun show last weekend for $240. I figured it was a good deal and bought it. The rear sight has been changed with an M1 carbine sight and the reciever has been drilled for a scope. I also noticed that the handguard has been sanded down for the scope to fit, but you might not notice that in the pictures. Its alot rougher there than on the rest of the gun. Bore is dark, but groves are still strong. Chambered in .30-06, US issue not British. I put 4 rounds throught it and it was dead on at 40 yards, even with the replacement sights. What is a fair price for this rifle?

You can go to completed auctions and you will see a wide range of pricing. You will see modified Eddystones that are bid up over $ 300.00, and I picked up one in 'original' configuration a few months ago for around $ 400.00. The $ 240.00 is probably reasonable, and frankly is a fair price if you are happy with it. 0
