Can you buy an auto ak fcg just fro the hell of it, in alabama?

Sure but you need more parts then that to make it shoot full auto. The ATF also has a $250,000 fine and a 20 year visit to club fed just for the hell of it if you do it.

Those parts usually ship with a parts kit. They are legal to posess you just can't install them or modify your receiver so they can be installed.

Please note- if you have a firearm that is CAPABLE of having the parts installed, AND have the parts on hand, the BATFE has deemed that to be "constructive" possession of a full auto. Whether they are assembled or not. Be VERY careful here. Have seen Fed Pen at Atlanta, Petersburg, and Leavenworth, and it really sucks there.
