Remington Model 24 Short Ammo

Picked up a Model 24 Remington today. Barrel is marked .22 short smokeless greased. Question is can I use modern .22 shorts in it? Will grease less shells cause a problem?

  Yes, you can use modern ammunition with no problems.

  I'll suggest you use 'standard velocity' shorts, the m-24 was before hi-speed ammo.
