Lady Colt Derringers....A Question

I just got off the phone with a friend, and he has a friend that has a set of said derringers. The fella got them new in the late 60s or early 70s. They are unfired in a presentation case and are engraved and consecutively numbered.

Anybody care to estimate their worth and about how many were made? Thanks in advance for any help.

  Just under 60,000 were made in the early 70's by a Colt subcontractor, named Butler Mfg. Co., according to my reference. They are more novelties then anything else, as they are made out of potmetal.
  
  
  GOOGLE, "Colt Lord and Lady Derringer", bunch of stuff will show up on the net. Not particularity rare, they show up on the auctions and various dealers sites regularly. Even though not practical firearms, they are still chambered for the .22 short, and have to sold like they are a Glock or a .45.

  Neat little guns. I have a cased Lord set that I keep and a beater that is rough around the edges that I shoot for the fun of it. Asking prices at the gun shows keep going up. I would check the auctions. My guess is $250 to $450 but don't hold me to that number.

  engraving on the lords and lady's derringer is actually very rare (if it was done at the factory).
  the lord and lady guns were made starting in 1970 and were just a re-introduction of the fourth model derringer which went out of production in 1963.
  the left side of the barrel should be marked 22 CAL. SHORT/ COLT'S P.F.A. MFG. CO.INC. /HTFD., CT., USA
  colt's PFA= colt's patented fire arms co.
  all boxed pairs were consecutive serial #'s and the boxes are marked on the bottom MADE IN SWEDEN EXPRESSLY FOR COLT'S SMALL ARMS DIVISION....

  TMK the Colt #4 derringers were not available engraved.

  "Unfired" isn't the only condition factor.
  
  This model should also be "unhandled", as the plating is only about 1 micron thick, & just removing them from the case a few times will rub the plating off. In addition, the case, paperwork, & sleeve must be fresh, not dog-eared.
