AR-10
I was wondering if anyone knows what an Armalite AR-10 with a CKA lower receiver is worth. I believe it is either a portuguese or guatumalin style.

I also have a AR10 with CKA lower but is heavily optioned. Depending on condition and going by what similar ones have sold on GB recently you could expect to get $2500-$3000. It still depends on condition and demand. I personally would not sell mine for under $5000, but again it is heavily optioned. Good luck. 0 -
Central Kentucky Arms old home week! I too have a CKA lower on a Sudanese upper. I have been following these rifles since the 1950s, and it is my understanding that there are only two styles of Dutch-made AR-10 rifles: Sudanese and Portuguese. Of course, ArmaLite made some prototypes, but the only real production guns were made by Artillerie-Inrichtingen in the Netherlands. The Portuguese version is said to have been an improvement over the Sudanese version, correcting some minor design flaws that came to light in service.
I have not seen one sell for years, but I too value mine highly.0 -
My rifle is of the Portuguese variety which was also known as the Nato or Transitional model. These rifles were a favorite of mercenaries fighting in the Belgium Congo back in the sixties. Quite a few of these rifles did end up in Central America which is probably why Poptart4sale mentioned it being a Guatemala style. The higher prices these command scare a lot of people away. Potential buyers now days would pretty much would buy them from a historical stand point as you could buy 2 or 3 of the new style Armalites for what you would pay for one original. I do own of the new Armalite AR10B's but there is no comparison between the two. 0
