Massachusetts Restrictions
I have an active auction, and have been E-mailed asking if I will ship my boxed bullets to Massachusetts. Are there any restrictions to shipping bullets there? Thanks for any help. Butch.

Are you talking about "bullets for reloading", or loaded ammunition? Big difference 0 -
Just some (2 boxes) of 200gr. bullets, not "loaded" ammunition. 0 -

In MA mere possession of an ammo component without an MA Firearms ID or LTC is a crime. If you have a keychain with a "dummy" bullet on it, but not a license, that's a crime in MA.
Importing ammo components are a gray zone, because of the Attorney General's pseudolaw.
My understanding is that while its not technically against the law for LTC holders to import components, the AG basically prohibits it, using his office to sue anyone that doesn't comply with his (arbitrary) restrictions. (Or more accurately, selectively sue certain sellers he doesn't like).
What your liability might be EXPORTING such components as an individual is questionable.
Realistically, the personal importing the components would probably be more at risk than you. But so long as nobody said anything, how would anyone know what you were shipping?
As far as I know, (and unlike live ammo, for instance) bullets are just chunks of lead, that require no special labelling or handling through the mails or private carriers.
If this whole thing is leaving you confused and distressed. . .not knowing whether or not you'll be sued, congratulations, that's EXACTLY what the MA State AG wants.0
