Win 52 bluing color

I have a winchester 52C ser 96000 range. the blue on the receiver is a slight purplish color. Is this a normal aging process? Anyone know what causes this?

  Has this been reblued. Ive never seen a 52 with this characteristic.

  ALL THE M-52'S I'VE SEEN (EARLY PRE A'S - 52E'S) HAVE HAD A EVEN DARK BLUE.

  A purplish tint is a very strong indication that a vintage Winchester has been reblued.
