Winchester model 255 win mag

I just picked one up. I can't find anything about it. Anyone have one? serial # 1082xx

they were a cheap winchester sold at places like wally world, kmart, ect back in the 70's-80's. you are talking about the lever action right, not sure about the exact blue book value, around here the go for$150-250 range, there were 3 models 150 which was 22lr, the 250 which was also a long rifle with fancy wood and checkering, and the 255 which was the 22 magnum. the magnum seems to sell a little bit higher than the regular 22. the later ones had plastic rear sights, while the earlier ones had the regular metal sights. ok shooters not super accurate but are fun plinkers. Over the last few years I have had at least one of each.

Yes lever action. There was another there that had fancy wood and was also a win mag.
