Leupold MK 4 3.5X10 LR/T M1

I just bought this scope on a deal I could not pass up, and was wondering if it has a high enough magnification to do long-range shooting. I was really wanting a 6.5X20, but I found this one and couldn't pass it up. Any input appreciated. Thanks

  I am looking at this line of scopes and have some of the same questions. MR/T or LR/T... ER/T???
  
  I guess it depends on your definition of Long Range. Leupold thinks it works for Long Range shooting since the LR in the model number stands for "Long Range". Although this is the lowest magnification in the LR line.
  They say their MR Medium Range line is good from 50-700 meters so does this mean all the scopes in the LR line are good past 700m?

  depends on uour application,....for man sized targets, it is fine,..for benchrest sized targets, too little magnification. I use a 32x for anything past 300yds clean out to 1000yds.
