Savage 110 scope mounts
I have an older savage 110 I need to know what type of scope mounts to buy for it, are there many different types and should steel be used for the amount of recoil. thanks feel free to drop me an email so I can order the mounts

When i try to mount a bushnell scope on my savage 110 30-06 the scope rings are wider than the are on the scope . the outside measurement of the rings is 5 5/8 , the the 1" are on the scope is 5 1/2. I just purchased the gun with the weaver bases on the gun ( no scope) Is it possible that i have the wrong bases in the gun, HELP 0 -
the savage rifles will require offset rings available in weaver brand. the scope bodies are just a little too short for that long action. sometimes you can reverse the bases to get the slots a little closer. 0 -
That is a pretty short tube. It is likely that the scope is simply too compact for the action length. It is sometimes possible to find rear bases that cantalever the ring forward over the rear part of the action opening thus shortening the distance between the rings. 0
