Hello experts, does anyone know the name of the company that produced these back in the late 80's? Lost the name of the company and can't find it. There was one for sale here about a year ago. Thanks as always, B.C..

  Armalite actually made a belt fed full auto prior to the M-16.

  I belive their is something called the shrike belt fed carbine, basically a belt fed m4 but I never heard of who makes this. I last saw it about 6 months ago in a ad in shotgun news.

  Ciener (sp) made a few and come up for sale from time to time. Here is one, http://v4.beta.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=127215375 This is most likely what you are asking about.
  
  ARES is the company the "made" the Shrike which was s drop on upper for the AR/M-16. I say made because they took lots of peoples money and only delivered a few.
  
  There is also the XMG that was approved by the ATF who was approved then after selling many units ATF changed their mind.
  
  There is Lakeside that makes a .22 version.
  
  There is a new company making a 12ga version.
  
  I am sure there are a few more. There are none that ever really made it into a main stream production.
  
  
  EDIT: While the Stoner 63 is a belt fed .223 is has nothing in common with an AR.

  Thanks to all. I think the one I remember seeing here was a Ciener. It was not full auto. They wanted $3500, should have bought it back then[xx(][V].
