Colt 1903
Is the slide of a Colt 1903 numbered? I have had a couple of these and do not recall ever seeing a numbered slide. I have a gentleman who would like to purchase one from me and the one I have is not numbered. I would at lease like to be able to tell him if they are suppose to be numbered or not. Any help is always appreciated.

I have an old COLT 1903 .32 cal. that was passed on to me from a relative. The serial number stamped on the gun is 11200. I was just wondering if someone could help me figure out how old this gun is and how much it is worth. thanks.. 0 -

I sort of stumbled across learning how to do it. Took a look at the Numrich Arms parts schematic - pictures work for me better than instructions.[;)]

do you have the hamerless model?
the colt website is a great one and the guy that runs it knows his stuff.
I've emailed him a number of times with questions and he's always come thru.

I have the 32 ACP version with checkered wooden grips, grip safety & mag safety - guess that makes it 4th model. A 1908 version is on my next to buy list.
Always heard them referred to as hammerless which, having just taken mine apart I'd call them more of a concealed hammer type. But I get their point - no exposed hammer.
Really beautiful guns and they point very well. I think I'm going to have an "all old mini gun" day at the range and bring the 03, Walther 1914 and a 1917 just to keep up with the bigger bore crowd.0
