I just read your other post, and now understand that you want to sell 1200 rds and were looking for lot amounts. I would sell as a Dutch auction of 4 lots of 300. This would get you intrest from those looking to buy 300, 600, 900 and 1200. 0 -

All else being equal, its *generally* better to buy (anything) in large quantities because of economy of scale.
In other words, shipping and other costs should be proportionately smaller, leading to a slightly smaller cost *PER ROUND* with larger purchases.
So to answer the question as written, all else being equal, I'd rather buy 1200 rounds, assuming I had the space to store them and the money to pay for them. Of course, not everyone does, and a single lot of 1200 rounds is going to have less potential buyers than say 3 lots of 400 rounds each.
In terms of SELLING, its usually easier to deal with one buyer, one payment, one auction, and one shipment. For me, I'd rather take a few bucks less and sell all at once rather than deal with multiple packages to load up and send, checks to deposit and clear, etc.0 -
