The pistols themselves are very uncommon. They were made in small numbers during the early 1920's, time frame. To find one in what appears to be the original box, is one of a kind.

Generally German pocket pistols from the post W W I era, aren't big buck collectors items. If the other side of the pistol is in the same condition as the one we can see, it might bring 4 figures from a collector though.

R-S...What is the DRP thing on there? Is that Deutsch Reisches Post? If so, would that put it in the early Nazi era? At any rate it is a truely remarkable example as R-S says, and the box is a stellar addition to it's value. I fear it would take the right person on the right auction to realise a top price even bearing in mind it's rarity and condition; in other words if there is not a lot know about them and they are not a big collectors market item you will have a hard time finding a really interested buyer. Really cool for sure though!

I believe the meaning in English, of "DRP", is patented in Germany.
