Scope help

i just bought THE USA SHOOTING TEAM SPECIAL EDITION RUGER 10/22 RACE RIFLE and in the pics on here there is is a scope on it it looks like a leoplod dose any one know what kind of scope it is and what model

    Ok guys, I'm going to annoy you again with newby questions. I really have no experience when it comes to zeroing in a scope. I just need to know how to do it. I'll give you the specs of my scope if that will help. I have a BSA Optics 4x32 scope. It has 1/4 inch MOA adjustors i believe. I really have trouble adjusting it mainly because I dont know what i'm adjusting FOR. Please anyone with experience, enlighten me. Thank you.

    Well I have a couple reccommendations for you. The first being...hang on to your wife. That girl is a keeper. Does she have a sister?...hehehe

    Now to answer your question. I would put on a Burris Full Field II in the 4.5-14 power class. I would put it in Burris' Signature rings and bases. Burris is by far the best bang for the $$.

    Honestly I have a couple of the Nikon first generation Buckmaster's 4.5-14x that have to go back for warranty work. I have three other 2nd generation Buckmasters with the side focus and they seem to be ok, but for the warranty end of it, they(Nikon) requires that the the everything be right, even the moon in the right phase before they will honor their warranty. Stick with Burris....Unless you want to shell out big bucks for a NightForce.

    I too have been a fan of Burris and just bought a Fastfire red dot. That said, I have been seeing notices that dealers are dropping Burris because of very frequent returns and poor service. It would appear that Burris is no longer the company we have grown accustomed to. Were I you, I would consider a good used Leupold.

    I continue to Recommend the Bushnell SPORTVIEW in 3x9x38. This is an EXCELLENT scope for the money...a little hard to find...but on the internet it should not be a problem. These cost about $50 bucks and are a BARGAIN!!! Also, they are available in the old style gloss finish...if you like the old style! Bushnell will replace them free if there is any problem from normal use...(just shipping costs). The tube is one inch...and the optics are as good as anything in the $100-$200 range.

    have to agree, burris is a great option. nikon also has allot of great scopes in that price range.

    Watch Steel man 77's auctions. I have bought two 1st generation Burris fullfield 6-18x40s in signature rings for 250.00 apiece. I have one on my Swift and one coming for my 6mm. Great scope at a great price.

    After you find the model you like check the auctionside as well as the other scope outlets to make sure you are getting the best deal. i have bought alot of scopes from these folks, never a problem andd have recieved them in a timely fashion.

    Yeah, I have also noticed alot of the older models/first runs refurbished by nikon and resold. It also seems for about the last 6-8 months, maybe longer I have heard about a rash of Burris scopes failing. Maybe they started building cheaper.[?]

    From what i understand all of these mid priced scopes,(including leupold) are assembled here from parts made in china..[V] If you want good glass, you have too pay the prices for the euro stuff.

    Bushnell's elite series are now made in japan, not by by B&L.

    i personally would stay away from burris. had 6.5x20x50 on my 300 wsm only lasted about 100 rounds then fogged up. they took care of it but was a bad experience for the money. i suggest a bushnell. have luck with them so far. no problems

    I have replaced most all of my Leupold scopes with Burris Signature,..couldn't be happier.
