Winchester Model 12 Trench Gun problems.
I have a model 12 trench gun, circa WW2, and I can't get the bolt out of the locked open position. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?? If so, how can I fix it?????? I want to try and sell it at a gun show this Sunday, but there isn't much point if I can't fix this by then. Any halp would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Oh, and there isn't much play in the bolt, if I try to close it it will only move forward about a 1/2". I've cleaned the hell out of it and still can't figure it out. 0 -
you must separate the shotgun into the front and rear half's, then with the trigger assy out you 'flip' the bolt lock. the bolt will then be able to move to the rear of the action and you can lift it out. 0 -
Any idea on how to do that with the bayonet lug on there?? It does not want to budge. What do you mean by flipping the bolt lock?? Assuming I get the bolt out, what do I need to do to fix it?
I've taken the trigger assembly out though and if I slide the bolt all the way forward and re-install the trigger ass. with the hammer de-cocked it will slide back and forth to the same point it catches when it gets stuck in the open position. But as soon as I push it past that position, it gets stuck open again.0 -

I'm a little worried that he's gonna beat the hell out of it trying to get the bayonet lug off. I just got an insurance appraisal for it @ $6k. Plus If I have any chance of selling it this weekend, I need to fix it pronto. Thanks for trying Mike, I know its hard to diagnose problems via the forum. 0
