S & W Frame chart

Thanks for the input on the car carry revolver. Next question is where can I find a chart that shows which S & W models are on which frame. The J frame, and the newer X-frame are the only ones I know for sure. THX HAWKSHAW

    You could simply look at the Smith and Wesson website, which lists the specs for all its current production revolvers:

    Large frame = N frame.
    Medium frame = L frame.
    Small frame = J frame.
    Extra large frame = X frame.

    While also technically a medium frame, the K-frame guns aren't in production anymore.

    Without getting too fancy, all the small snubnose type revolvers are on the modern version of the J-frame (models 36, 60, 637, 642, 360, etc).

    K frame guns include the models 10, 15, 19, 65, 66, and others.
