Trigger pull
I have ordered a new Remington 22-250 varmit rifle. I don't know what the trigger pull will be yet, but I'm sure for precise shooting it will be too hard. Do any of you own one of these rifles and what pound trigger pull would be best? will be shooting 100- 300 yds.

This is a question I should probably know the answer too but I don't. We just purchased a S&W 642 for my wife. She loves the feel of the gun but the trigger is so hard to pull it is uncomfortable for her to shoot. She has a hard time "squeezing" the trigger, causing great inconsistancy in her groups. Is this an easy adjustment? Can our local guy do it without voiding the warrenty, or will the gun have to go back to S&W for the work? 0 -
You should have bought her the 642LS, but......
Any gunsmith can easily install a set of lighter Wolff springs on a J-frame revolver. It's a relatively simple swap.
Phone first, as your gunsmith may ask you to get the springs, which are available from Brownells. Wolff recommends that the gun be test fired to be sure you get reliable ignition with the ammo you plan to use in the gun.

I put a set of Wolfe springs in a 44 magnum I have and I was shooting it at the range and a friend of mine wanted to fire it, I walked over and looked him in the eye and said be careful this has a lite triger and handed it to him and backed up into my booth. He started to raise the weapon above his head and I saw his finger go into the loop and he blew a hole in the roof after the flame and lead bullet went by his ear. Not everyone is suited for a weapon with lite trigger pull and the younger the heaver the trigger pull.
