Semi-Auto Sten II, any information?

Hello All, Looking for any and all information on the Semi-Auto StenII. Does anybody know anybody that has one?
How well do they work?
Is there a kit or company that anyone would suggest?

I am most interested in the 16" barrel version for shooting, not a short barrel or Display/"Dummy Gun".
Last thing I heard was they were useing a modified AR-15 system firing from a closed bolt, but they jammed ALOT!

p.s. I just got one of the semi-only MP-40's, the SSR-40! It runs GREAT! Lots of fun to shoot, little heavy, but no real jamming problems. Thanks, P.

    If I recall there were a few places selling kits for them when the Sten Kits were more abundant. Also I think Calico made a very small run of semi auto stens as well.

    I would think that it would not be hard to make one with a milling machine, some patience, and some AR-15 trigger parts and firing pin. A while back a writer for Shotgun News made a blowback sub gun type of firearm with some Soumi and AR-15 parts.

    You might geta good smith to make one for you.

    the company was CATCO i had serial number 13,14,15 it took over 6 months of waiting they had numerus manufacturing problems i think there were no more than a couple hundered made if that many, never fired them

    hello. i had one. it was made by catco. jam-o-matic! you would be way better off buying an uzi, or beretta storm, or even a high-point. semi-auto stens bring over a 1000.00 when you see them for sale.
