Out of all the AK-47's and clones out there to be purchased-which one would be the Best all round rifle to Buy ?

    Many of the AK's are great shooters but do not have the factory finish that can be found in other makes. For example, a Romanian is a good shooter, but the finish is not near as good as can be found on a Bulgarian or probably even a Norinco. As far as functionality, most are good for shooting and are generally reliable.

    The current market for any military style weapon has gone through the roof in the recent past. So, if you have not already made a purchase, you will most likely be paying a premium for just about any AK you find.

    I think you need to determine what kind of money you want to spend, and go from there. If I had to buy a good AK (in the current market) I would try to find a Norinco or a Hungarian for around $600.00.

    Centerfire Systems has Bulgarian AK in 5.45x39 for 700 and a AK with a folder for 600 in 7.62x39 they are both NIB.

    i would try to find one on the chinease imports , or a vector is a nice rifle

    Take a look at the American made ARSENAL AKs with the milled receivers. I've seen just about all the others and the ARSENAL is super fine.

    haven't gotten to take it for a range report but everyone i talked to seemed to point me to a yugoslavian clone for a good ak.

    The Romanian's being put together by CAI seem to work most of the time, and with a little de-burring here and there, will run well.

    The ones NOT to buy say Hesse, Vulcan, or Blackthorne on. If there is anyone who could screw up an AK-47 build, it is these guys.

    I do like the ones from Arsenal USA with the milled recievers the best...but good luck finding one.

    I've ran about 500 rds "Wolf" through my new romanian ak. Not one jam it's a good gun for the price. I picked mine up "BO" Before Oboma, for $350.00 at a local store.

    I just sold a New in Box Norinco sidefolder with mags and accessories in 7.62 for $1600.
