Springfield XD 9mm Mags

I purchased a used XD in 9mm. It was originally purchased early in 2003. 4 inch barrel. It came with 2 10 round mags.

My question is can the higher capacity mags be used in this gun, or am I limited to the 10 round only?

  It depends on your state laws. For example, NY State limits mags made after September, 1994 to 10 rounds. Otherwise, yes.

  High-cap magazines are legal in Pennsylvania. You can read the Pa gun laws here:

  If you travel into NY, do NOT have high cap magazines with you. It's a FELONY just to possess them if they were made after 9/94!

  Thanks again for the help and the link. I know that we have no reciprocal agreement with ny (WV is the only one that borders PA that we do have it with) so I choose never to carry across state borders, and rarely travel across state lines as it is.
