Need Some Info Before I Sell These
What is the maker of this rifle stock? I saw an M on the side of the butt, is it safe to assume it's a Mauser? Or is it something else?

Well I am pretty sure the top stock is for a mauser. Its surplus and I think its made from walnut. dont know the country of origin, but walnut brings more then others. I couldnt even tell you if its for a large or small sized action.
The bottom one looks like it was maybe a "sporter" stock for a FAl(?) Or maybe even a G3 clone.0 -
the stock is for a m-98 mauser but impossible to tell 'who' made it. there where about 2 dozen manufactorers ot the m-98 over the years 0 -
The combination of flat buttplate, take-down washer and side mounted sling can only be German sometime in the twenties or early thirties. If the right side has a dished out area for a turned down bolt knob, it is most likely for a 98b. If not, it is a transitional K98 or early K98k.
It's a real shame it's been butchered.0
