rattle noise in the FIRESTAR M40??????
hey fellas, i recently bought a firestar m40 that is unfired and it has a rattling noise when the gun is moved quicker than normal (if that makes any sense) i took the top slide off and found the piece that is making the rattling, i'm just wondering if anyone who has this gun also hears this rattle whenn the gun is shaken? Or if anyone has heard of this being normal for this gun? The piece that is making the noise is a thin piece of metal directly left of the hammer. just wanna know if this is common??? thanks for your time.

I would suggest that you take it back, if you can.
They just aren't worth that.

If you ever need parts or repair, contact M & M Gunsmithing, somewhere around the Baltimore, D.C., Virgina area. They bought the parts inventory when Interarms (?) shut down.
I bought some mags, thumb safeties, a couple of barrels, and some other stuff for mine from them , all new.
Hope you get the rattle fixed.
They are great shooters.
