Grips arrive with bad finish
Hi: I just received a P220R carry elite. The laminated wood grips looked great until I started to handle it. The slightest insult will cause the finish to blister and peel off? If I drag a fingernail, that is enough to cause damage to the finish. I contacted Sig Sauer that they are sending me a new grip. But, I was wondering if anyone had this problem and what may have caused it. Did Sig have a bad batch of varnish??

Probably bad surface prep. It would not allow the finish to grip the surface well. 0 -

Yeah, I think it may be both, a little oil misting on the grip and poor quality urethane varnish. Looked good until it was handled. Anyway, Sig has promised to replace them. We'll see... 0
