Type of Scope

I have just purchased a New Model Blackhawk 41Cal.6 1/2 in bbl.
I would like to put a scope on it, but i'm not really sure what would be the best. Also what would be a good round to use for hunting whitetail. Any all all help would be be appreciated.

  Congratulations on your acquirement.
  
  I will suggest a low power variable, in a GOOD name...Like a 1-4x, or a 2-7x Burris. I say Burris, as they are the absolute best in pistol scopes.
  
  For a hunting load, I would suggest any one of the 3 loads listed by Federal Cartridge Company. They have a 210 Gr JHP, a 180 Gr Barnes, and a 250 Grain Cast Core. The latter should work well on pigs, and black bear also.

  My choice would be a red-dot, from a reputable maker like aim-point or Burris.
