Navy Arms muzzleloading double fireing both barrel
I've got a Navy Arms double barrel 12 guage muzzleloader which fires both barrels whenever it is fired. There must be some hole between both chambers. Navy arms says it is over 20 years old, and they will not help. Anyone have any ideas? Or where to find another set of barrels?

Hello are you saying only one hammer falls when you pull the trigger or is the sear worn and the recoil from one barrel drops the hammer on the other barrel[?][?] 0 -
just as perry said , are you useing two fingers? the recoil will do it 0 -
Actually the hammers have nothing to do with it. When firing, i can cap only one barrel, and BOTH go off! Kind of scary actually....there is some path inside the breech area i believe where fire can go from one chamber to the other somehow. And when i got it, it looked unfired. 0 -
it is done hang on the hall you have a pin hole in the barrels 0 -
WOW If it was mine I would contact Navy Arms and tell them it is a DEFECT that is scary I would at least start out nice and then get more assertive. tell them it is not worn from use but rather a defect that they should exchange for another product if they no longer make this model I suspect when built they did not seal the breach plugs. I for sure would not fire it and would disable the gun even go so far as pour lead down the barrel 0 -
Please, by all means, if you can, give us a picture of thios beast. Back by the chamber area. Have you owned it since it was new? Have you ever taken the barrels off? I think you need to do so, to check it out.

I used to have one when they first came out(late 70's). I enjoyed shooting it, but it too developed the problem after only a short time. The dealer gave me my money back, and took it up with Navy Arms himself. I wish I had one that didn't do it, because that was my favorite shotgun. Maybe a good gunsmith could fix it, but I doubt if the fix would work for long. 0
