Ivor Johnson 12g double barrel

I have an old shotgun, Ivor Johnson Sporting Goods, Knox-All, Boston Mass., 12 gauge, double barrel side-by-side with serial number 99473.

I'd like to know about how old it is or where I can find out by the serial number. It's in excellent condition. I haven't seen any posts with this particular shotgun.

  this double barrel shotgun was not manufactured by iver johnson's arms & cycle works but was sold at retail by iver johnson sporting goods co. of boston. two seperate companies owned by the same family.
  
  double barrel shotguns marked with the knox-all name were manufactured by cresent or cresent-davis. the name was used as early as 1905 and as late as 1931. finding the exact manufacture date is almost impossible as there are no known factory serial number records for cresent firearms.

  It has stamped on it "Iver Johnson Sporting Goods" as opposed to the Cycle name. Would that narrow it down to date of manufacture?
  
  Money is tight around here, and I'm wondering if it's something of value I should consider selling?
