winchester 75 question

have a winchester model 75..22 cal bolt action rifle..parkerized metal..metal checked butt plate..lyman rear aperture sight..lyman globe front sight..stock is cartouched..serial# 31XXX...anyone know the approx production dates and quantity made?

  I checked #s 31000 to 31999 and came up with 1942, sounds correct. I have a slightly lower numbered one and it was 1941. Gun serial numbers are showing from 1 to 88715 made from 1938 to 1957.
  
  Other than enjoying mine very much I don't know a whole lot about them. They seem like the next step above all the 62s, 67s and 69s Winchester made and of course the more affordable model compared to their 52.
