Colt AR-15 Pre-Ban Value

I've got a Colt AR-15 Sporter Lightweight, .223 Cal, 16" BBL the SN is SL006XXX and has the OEM flash suppressor but not the bayonet lug. I'm pretty sure the Colt Model designation is R6530. I'm trying to get an idea of what this rifle is worth. I've searched GB and have found some similar but not the exact model. The rifle is in good to very good condition with minimal use over it's life. I bought it new about 16 years ago.

  Since we're talking about a beat up rifle, just about any "service grade" Colt in similar condition should sell for approximately the same. It's not a collector now, it's a shooter.
  
  Your "good to very good" may mean something very different from what I have in mind. Many of the ARs I see on GB have 95-100% original finish remaining; a well worn gun will take a big hit on resale. Without pictures, you're the only one who can judge the value based on recent auction sales.
