what is the difference between the preban 6721 and the postban ar6721

  Production of this model, available to LE during the ban, has been substantially unchanged throughout production. (There have been countless minor engineering changes on all Colt AR's.)
  
  Probably the biggest difference is that the current model has an A4 target style rear sight, where the pre-ban model had an A2 rear sight.

  do not forget the "For Military and Law Enforcement Use Only" stamping which i believe is a deterrent of buying to some regular guys.
  
  i believe that most of us AR-15 buffs have at least one AR-15 with such markings just to display our defiance to that silly marking which i [:p] out at the sight of it. [:D]
