Fixing a canted AK front sight?

How would you straiten a canted AK front sight? A guy is selling a AK and I was wondering if its a hard thing to fix myself.

  A good smith can do it by driving out the taper pins, and straightening them out. Might require some fitting or machining.

  Fire it first. See if it "zeroes" with the front sight as is (canted). If it shoots to POA, then, realistically you are stuck with the canted sight..as it was intentionally done to bring the gun to POA.

  The front sight is on a cylinder that can be pressed left or right to center the blade once the post is straightened. There is a tool for this.
  I've noticed canting on a bunch of 223s where windage adjustment was made to offset the canting.

  I am thinking these are all Romanian of CAI or Hesse Manufacture. More Hesse than CAI. Both of them have made rifles with canted sights.
