FEG 37

Looking for some info...FEG 37

P. mod 37,kal 7.65

JHV43 (rear/side of slide)

WA173 (side of the trigger guard)

It's a friend's gun, father had it for years, wants to know a little about it. He's not much of a gun guy, and I'm not too knowledgeable about FEGs. Just from what I do know about guns, I'm guessing it was a 1943 mfg 32acp probably made for the Nazis. Any help/info would be appreciated.

    These were usually made for the German Luftwaffe in Hungary by the FEG state factory. You have decoded the stamps correctly as far as the date of manufacture goes.

    Awesome link...thanks. Any thought from anyone on value? Normally I'd check comps and take condition into account, but I can't find any for sale.

    Value would depend on factory originality, and cosmetic condition. Best thing would be to post quality photos, for valuation advice.

    One interesting thing about these--the magazine is worth almost as much as the gun!

    One can find a mag without the finger grip but no repros (to my knowledge) are available. [:(]

    They are usually called Femaru M37, BTW.

    And Harold scores! Thanks, Hairy - when I looked up femaru I got several hits on varying markings and quality to give me some comps. [:)]
