Hey guys just want your opinion on what the best bolt action .22 is for my first rifle?? Nothing 2 expensive..

How much do you want to spend?
What models do you have available to chose from in that price range?0 -
For around 200.00 you can get the savage mkII and the Marlin 925 and 980 The Savage MKII that I have is very accurate 0 -
Around the $600 Australian dollors.. Have been looking at the savage mk2 22lr 0 -
In that price range you might look at the czs Ihave a 452 that is real nice 0 -
I have the savage mk2 with the thumbhole stock accurate shooter was 300 bucks,I'm going to get the cz 452 asap,shot a few last week,top notch IMO around $450.Also was checking out the remington 597 around 350,but thats a semi auto.Good luck 0 -
New, I'd look at something in the Savage line. Lots of good used possibilities though; Winchesters and Remingtons. Check the auction side. 0 -
If you don't mind going used and can find one in decent shape a Remington 581 or 582 are real nice. 0 -
With "you get what you pay for" being a basic universal rule, I would advise buying the most expensive bolt action rifle you can afford. 0 -

That being said try used. You can usualy find qualty bolt acton.22s for alot less than new. Another is gun auctions. I have picked up single shot and clip feed bolts for as low as $40.00 may need a little blue or wood work but are fine as shooters.0 -
Not sure what yo define as to expensive...CZs are great, if you want cheaper but still very good for the money I would get a Savage...with the accutrigger. I have seen some shoot better than far more expensive 22s. 0 -

Hit your local pawn shops, and look for a Savage/ Springfield/ Stevens 15/ 15A singleshot rifle. They were offered under other model names & numbers, but are, essentially, the same. I got one for $75.00, and I love it.[:D]0
