Bulleye Shooting

I was reading up on it tonight and wondered about a couple things. The web site I was reading talked about using scopes. I was thinking you were shooting 50 yards without a scope .. iron sites...
They also said "The sight radius of .45s can be no more than 10""
What does that mean ?

I learned a lot,You have to have a great gun to start with.. One thing . basically that you have to have a 45 that will do 3 in groups at 45 yards.
oh yeah great ammo too [:)]

  Sight radius is the distance between the front and rear sights.
  
  I have not shot bullseye in years, I shoot 3-gun and action pistol, but I recall it was done with iron sights as you mention.
  
  Serious bullseye shooters spend a lot of money accurizing their guns and use "match" ammo.

  I thought it somehow meant what part of the target was coverup as you were looking..lol. clueless..

  There are 2 different Bulls-Eye types of shooting both at same targets at same distances The N.R.A. allows Scopes /Red Dot The DCM/CMP is shot with 230 grain Ball Ammo and does not allow anything but Iron Sights NO RIB or EXTENDED Front Sight.If you chose to use Iron sights on your N.R.A. pistol the front sight can not be more then 10 inches from the rear sight measured from back of front sight blade to back of rear sight blade. Go to my profile and send me an EMAIL direct with Your email address and I will send you some pictures of extended sights ETC The target is 50 yards slow fire and 25 yards timed and rapid fire. The X ring is 1.5 inches and the 10 ring is 3 inches all firing is done one Handed . Hope this helps "PRAISE THE HARD BALL GUN"
