CZ 52 or Romanian Tokarev

I am at a tossup between getting a CZ 52 or a romanian tokarev? any suggestions? Which one has more parts available in case it breaks? Which one is more reliable? Is the CZ 52 worth paying about 50 to 100 more?

    CZ52 is a strong, well made handgun. It is a much better design than the Tokarev. The Tokarev is a poor take-off of John Brownings Colt pistols.
    the CZ52 has a roller system in the slide, that locks the pistol into battery; and, out of battery, smoothly. It is a pleasure to shoot.

    Both guns have good qualities,the CZ-52 is a bit stronger and can use much hotter loads,if you have the funds why not just get both ?

    I have a few different cariant tokarevs and i love them all.
    Fun to shoot feels excellent in my hands and i think its a great looking pistol. I truly enjoy this gun.

    I donot own nor have I even held the CZ-52 all i know is it's an ugly little gun(IMO obviously). =0

    I bought the CZ52 as my research showed that it was a much higher quality piece then the tokarev's available at the time. This may no longer be the case. Buy which ever you shoot and fits you better. Shooting them both at the range would be a good idea if you can arrange it. Neither would be my go to handgun in an emergency, nor would they be in the list of backups. But, my only real displeasure with the CZ52 are the sights, but I wasn't expecting anything more so then so what....

    I own a CZ52 and a Tokarev. My Tokarev is however a 9mm Norinco. I have never had any problems with either. I have owned the CZ 52 longer. My recommendation is if you buy the CZ 52 replace the firing pin with a steel one as the factory ones are brittle and will break if you dry fire. I also hate the fact on the CZ 52 that there is no way to release the slide without taking out the magazine so I replaced the slide stop with one that has a tab soldered on to create a slide release. The Tokarev feels more natural to me and has a slimmer profile a more comfortable mag release and already has a thumb operated slide release. You can find some pretty cool stuff for both if you want to customize a little.Whatever one you choose you will have fun at the range. Just no milsurp(steel core) ammo at an indoor range. They don't like that too much.
