Winchester Model 12 Trench gun Price??
I have a Winchester Model 12 Trench Gun with heatshield and bayonet lug I am trying to find a good ballpark price for. The receiver has the "U.S.(with flaming ball)" Marking below the ejection port and the marking "PW(P stamped on top of W)" on the top of the receiver and barrel, there is an "H" stamped behing the trigger gaurd, the stock is marked "G.H.D.(with amarking below similar to a circle with a cross in it but I can't make it out. The Bayonet Lug has a "W" stamped on it. It also has a "Winchester Repeating Arms" butt-plate. The Serial number is #10146**, all numbers match including on a 4"x1/2"aluminum Dog tag wired to the stock swivel stud. It looks brand new, still has cosmoline everywhere (wouldn't mind some pointers on cleaning it up too:)) Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

Dear DrGonzo11...man, do my eyes hurt looking at your photos! But you have a nice WWII trench shotgun! The serial # puts it in the later WWII production as does the inspector mark (GHD for Col. Guy H. Drewry who also inspected Garand's and Carbines for Winchester). Many of the WWII guns were put through arsenal refinsh after the war and put into storage so they look knew but are not. My eyes hurt and I can't tell if yours is refinished or not, but if it is that actual helps value. WW I and II Trench guns are appreciating in value and Model 12's bring almost as much $ as the more famous Model 97's. In the type of condition that you describe, you are looking at a value somewhere near $5k. Good shooting! 0 -
Can you resubmit? The photos are out of focus. Hint: hold the camera steady with a tripod,
or, better yet take the gun outside and photo in open shade. As you type your post,
you'll notice the "Preview" button on the bottom. Click on it. Discard any photos that are focused
like your first posting
before you click on the "Post New Reply" button. We'll be able to tell you if it is virgin,
or has been arsenal re-done, or civilian re-done. I believe if it has been arsenal re-done,

EDIT 2: Ref. your post below, Pics are large, but concentrate on getting them in focus.
Only then concentrate on size. You must hit the large "return/Enter"
button on your keypad after submitting each photo, also.
That will stack them vertically. Also, notice I'm editing my post,

OK, I'll take new photos and repost, keep an eye out, cuz its gonna be a few days. My Wife is just started early Labor so my guess is I'll be a little tied up for the next couple days:)
How do I make the pics smaller??? Or should I leave them the same size if they are in focus??0
