What is the big deal with primers? You drop the hammer and they go BANG. Why are Eley better than others? Any difference in function with rim or center fire?

Have been using CCI 200 Large Rifle primers, WantTo switch to Winchester LargeRifle 8 1/2 any difference in size and preformance. 0 -
The way things are nowadays, they will sell like hotcakes. Be advised that you will have to ship them by common carrier,i.e. UPS or FedEX. They will have to be shipped as "Hazardous Material", at extra cost, and hassel to follow the specific regulations of the carrier. The buyer pays the "Hazardous Material" fee though.
I don't know what brand/manufacturer of primers you have? But recently I've had a lot of trouble with older (1990's?) Winchester large pistol primers. I wound up pulling about 500 of them and replacing them with Federal and Wolf primers.0 -
You can list them with the option of local 'pick-up' and hope to sell them to a buyer in your locale, thus saving you or the buyer some exorbietent shipping costs. I myself would probably drive 2-3 hrs. for them if I had to, too aquire. You may even get a better price (more in your pocket) if the buyers knew they would not have to pay the shipping and HazMat fees, and you are OK with local pick-up.
