Mossberg barrel-

I am trying to find the standoff barrel Mossberg has on there tactical style shotguns but can not find one either on their web site or on here. All I can find is the smooth bore beaded 18.5" barrels. The one I want is 18.5" But is flared at the muzzle. I intend to put the heat shield on it. Also The ratings on most of the aftermarket products like heat shields are terrible from what I could read on Cheaper than Dirt. Would you think buying directly from the factory, i.e. Mossberg would be of better quality? There is only about 10.00 difference.

    The heat shield attaches to the normal barrel.. I've not seen a "flared" one at all...

    Mossberg has one that is flared and has what looks like saw teth on the end. Cheaper than dirt sells this barrel and claims that it is made by Mossberg for Remington 870's but I dont know if it will fit a 500.

    I doubt that it will fit, a Remington has a different barrel. I'm not sure why Mossberg makes a barrel for a Remington but I have seen it too.

    What your looking for is the new Mossberg "Door Breacher" cyl choke barrel they now offer on their persuader pistol grip shotgun. I don't think Ive seen these sold anywhere seperately. Try giving Mossberg a call directly. Im sure someone there could help you.
