Feedback on gun oil

Does anyone have any feedback/comments with using Clenzoil or M-Pro7 on firearms in storage?

    How long in storage? I would think for long term storage you might go a little stronger, like cosmoline.

    Cartod, long term storage in a gun safe with an annual check up for possible metal oxidation.

    Clensoil - best stuff on the market. Works on all metals and wood.

    No left over residue, no rust from moisture in the oils. Wipe it on and don't worry. I've used it for many years, best storage oil you can buy (IMHO). I have a dry safe area, and wipe the guns about once per year, don't know how long it would last.

    There are others, but I'm not sure you'll find better.

    M Pro 7 is a cleaning product-not what I would use for long-term storage, since it removes all carbon-based substances like oil and grease. It also exhibits a tendency to cause buildup of a crusty coating sorta like "Slick 50" does in a motor. They do have a lubricating product called, "Snake Oil"; which is good for keeping stuff from binding, but also not a long-term product.
    If I'm storing a firearm with significant resale value; I use cosmoline.

    my choice for gun/solvent/storage oil is bdsuperlube. you can find them online. they are based out of lakeland florida. i once took them a 75 year old double barrel shotgun that was a pile of rust, locked up solid(boat anchor)![:D] the owner took it from me and told me to pick it up from him upon nest visit. he handed it back to me and i couldnt believe what i was seeing. the super lube completely removed the rust all the way down to the original bluing. it literally works into the pores of the metal and removes every last speck of rust(perfect for storage use). it is completely natural and isnt harmful to the evironment or to the user of it. if you have ever read the bottle of the "other" lubricants on the market, one would be apauled at its contents. things like , "has been known to cause cancer in commifornia, harmful if swallowed, avoid inhalation, can cause birth defects, avoid direct contact with skin. give bdsuperlube a try. you wont be dissapointed. best

    I installed a vent from the home furnace to blow warm air on my gun safe at the bottom, warms the metal mass of the safe and I have noticed thay even after years of storage.no rust or moisture problems. Even the cardboard boxes don't go damp. Still no substitute for a regular check and wipe with an oil cloth.

    Mpro7. . .great for cleaning. . .not intended for storage.

    Use an oil-based product.
