U.M.C. .32 S & W bullet help!

I came across a very old bullet while going through things from my Grnadparents house. I don't know if this bullet is from a WW or? My grandfather was born in 1901. It has a nick in it near the top and the bottom of it says U.M.C. .32 S & W. I assume it means United States Marine Corp but do not know for sure. Any ideas on what it might be worth?

  Union METALLIC cartridge company sorry nothing to do with the Marines.

  UMC still makes .32 S&W ammo.
