savage fox .410

Been lurking here for a while checking opinions on cc handguns and I'm getting it narrowed down but will have to part with other pieces to get what I want.

I have a savage fox mod.b ser. h .410. The number on the side is c251365 I'm guessing thats the ser.# I'm thinking of putting it on auction to finance somthing new and I want to have my facts straight.
I bought the gun used in mid 90s and was told the cush. butt pad and high vis front bead (1/2"long red) were factory options is this true? Also can anyone give me a manufature date by the #s supplied?

This is very clean like new little sxs the auctions seem real variable on them. Most ive seen aren't in this nice shape. What should I consider a fair return on a auction be?

    Site and pad are not factory. Post a pic for more help.

    Yeah I'm working on pics> When my kids get home I'll get them to walk me through it.

    I just saw the identical gun on another post except for the butt pad and bead.That one should give me a good idea on wether I want to try an auction or not.

    BTW. Is the alterations going to subtract from the value much. Should I look for another orig. butt plate first? The pad installed is a nice job I figured it was factory due to the clean fit.Also that one has a B in the ser.# I'm guessing its an earlier model?

    It will not be worth the hassle. Those shotguns are not collector items.

    henry they were just that, high asking prices, here at the local shows I've seen them go from $350-500 depending on condition. most for quick sales go on the lower end $350 range.

    Start it at 1.00 if you have the nuts to, AND you will see what it is worth. Something like that will get action as seen in Henrys thread...your call..nambu
