Opinion Please- Orlite AR mags

what is your experience/knowledge about these?

I have 9 of them, used Isreali military. They all work just fine. There is a lip around them that seals the mag well from dirt, etc. I have read that the earlier ones will not fit up into all mag wells, Bushmaster guns being the main problem. But this can be fixed by dremeling a bit off of the top edge of the lip, then they will lock in. But I have not had any problems in any of my Rock Rivers. They are not collectible or anything, just another surplus mag.

They are not really rare, like a lot of stuff sometimes they are everywhere and sometimes not. New or lightly used they are good mags but I have seen a lot of them with moderate to heavy use that will turn any rifle into a jam-o-matic. The feedlips get weak and when the rifle fires and the bolt moves rearward they will allow a round to slip past the lips, then the bolt comes forward and tries to feed another round. On the auction side new ones have been fetching $15-20 and used ones $10-12 lately.

Get Magpul P Mags. They are about the same money, but in better shape.

Orlites are mostly used, and since they are Israeli surplus, the best treatment they see is utter neglect.
