Transfer of Flare Pistol & Shipping info
I want to sell a ww2 flare pistol on GunBroker... it's a Canadian 4 ga... 1943... I understand 4ga flares are no longer produced... does the flare gun have to be sent to an FFL? or C&R? or can it be shipped direct to the buyer?... I couldn't find any specific info on BATFE site... thanks for your time... gh

Certain States or Cities might have law restricting the sale of flare pistols. Over the years I have seen crude subcaliber inserts, that had been manufactured to enable flare pistols to fire shotgun shells.
Because of this I would be very wary of who and where, you selling the flare pistol to.0 -
4 gauge flares are common AKA 26mm you can buy them about 4 bucks each..i have a bunch of them 0 -
The local walmart sells flare pistols. They don't require anything other than being paid for as far as I know. Do they sell them in your area?? I don't think it is an issue. Not unless you are throwing exploding devices with it. 0
