Remington help please

I have recently added a Remington 700 VS Composite in .223 to my collection. The rifle is in like new condition without a box. The previous owner stated the rifle was only fired seven times and I can not find a ding,ting or any handluing marks on it at all. Are the VS Composites collectible and what would the current value be.

  Hi, I recently purchased a Remington Sportsman 12 Pump, serial# W183286M, and is in 12ga. It looks like a regular 870 and will fire 2-3/4, and 3 inch shells. I can not find any info on this model in Remington's archives. Can anyone help with any info on the gun?

  cheaper version of the wingmaster later it evolved to the 870 express they also had a sportsman 12 auto that was a cheaper version of the 1100

  I belive that the M in the serial number stand for magnum which will enable you to shoot 3" mags from it. The sportsman was a cheaper version of the 870 wingmaster
