silver snipe and silver pigeon

I have shot a silver snipe and absolutely love it but they were not made for long so my first question is are there variances to the silver snipe and what are the different models or variances worth? Second what are the differences between the silver pigeon and snipe thanks Brandon

    Slver Snipe is a boxlock O/U. Variations were selective or non-selective trigger and vent rib barrel or plain. Plain extractor. The Silver Pigeon was, I believe, a three shot hammerless pump, only made for a few years. Could pick these up a few years back for $250-300. Snipe about 2 1/2 times that.

    ok so what is the difference between the silver snipe and the more modern o/u silver pigeon?

    Stan Hack, third baseman for the Chicago Cubs from about 1938 -1950 had a 20 guage Silver Snipe. He lived 5 miles from me and had a minor fire in his resteraunt and got minor water damage to the buttstock (the gun's buttstock not his own butt). He hired me to refinish it. Before I returned it, I of course test fired it . It was really a sweet handling gun (26" IC/M ) Well that has nothing to do with what you asked but it's not everyday you see a Silver Snipe!

    i have a silver snipe that i bought new in 1967, shot skeet with it for several years and loved it. i think that the silver pigeon was an attempt to upgrade it. how do you upgrade a perfect gun??. the last time i saw any sold they went for$7-800. you have a great gun enjoy!!

    thats the problem I don't have one. AS they are very hard to find. Would love to find one. So I was wondering how the silver pigeon compares to the silver snipe. If it can the snipe is a perfect fit and the balance is great.
