    No... to make the long answer short.

    ADDED:

    Bert I am sure will correct me on this, but up untill APPROXIMATELY 1910-ish, some parts on some rifles were still color case hardened. I don't believe it was untill shortly after 1910 that bluing became standard fare.

    Up to the early 1920s, the hammer, trigger, and lever were case color finished. The crescent butt plates were also case color finished for several years beyond August of 1901, but I do not know exactly when Winchester ceased case coloring them versus bluing.

    Yes, I am certain they were case color finished at least as late as 1907, and maybe as late as about 1909, but as with many of the things Winchester did, there is no distinct cut-off date or serial number for many of the subtle changes.
