AK Trigger Group

After a 5 month wait I have 3 AK bare receivers on the way. I have most parts for the builds but need trigger groups. I see there are "one hook" and "double hook" styles and can see the difference from the pics. Why are there two choices and which one should I buy?

  Do you know what the receivers you ordered are set up for?
  
  Single hook is traditional AK 47 in its design and Mikhail Kalashnikov origin.
  Double hook triggers are the most common available replacement triggers for American parts count.
  I've also seen a double hook trigger suggested as a replacement for "Trigger Slap" issue that AK's sometimes have.
  The only time I see single hook triggers used are people that have single hook receivers and they choose to not modify the opening on the receiver to allow the use of a Double.
  
  Single hook might be an issue with how a F/A sear fits in receiver with a trigger group but thats not an issue with what your doing.

  get Tapco G3 triggers for them. They come in single or double hook.

  For the NDS-3 you will need the double hook trigger. For the NDS-65 you can use the single hook.

  Any idea how the receivers are cut, for single or dual hooks? May want to wait until you get the receivers and see which it takes...I wouldn't modify the receiver but if they are made for dual hooks I would use them.

  Not so fast. Kalashnikov copied the M-1 Garand two hook sear/disconnector arrangement.
