colors for Remington 788

How many color variations were there for the Remington 788's? I Have seen several colors but the most common ones I have seen are the darker colored ones and the blond color finish.

  I believe that some of the early ones had walnut stocks that would be darker. Mine has the lighter wood and it is some type of hardwood. The walnut stock guns would propably bring more than the hardwood stocks. These are all very good shooters and the prices keep creeping up on them.

  there were walnut stocks and beech or birch or somesuch other )lighter) wood. The walnut stocked versions also will sometimes have the 24" barrel where most others had the 22". Mine has the walnut stock and the 24" tube.
