Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe..????

Would anyone recommend these mounts for WVD in .300 weatherby magnum,..or what bases/base,and rings [1"] combo would you install,[40mm scope].thanks..Loko

NOPE, YOU NEED MOUNTS FOR THE VANGAURD (SAME MOUNTS AS REM. 700).

I'm not sure if they'll fit as the vanguard used the same mounts as the long action remington 700. I recently picked up a vanguard in 300wby and I have had no problems with a leupold std 1 pc base # 50003

The Vanguard is a Howa 1500. Bases and rings for the Howa will fit the Vanguard.

Hey Randy,

Those mounts are for a Weatherby Mark V. You need the ones for a Howa, Vanguard or Mossberg 1500.

Personally I would use a Burris Dual Dovetail set of bases, and a set of their Signature rings. I am not sure, but I think the low's will clear the bell on a 40MM objective, but to be sure a medium will. They have a chart for gun make and mount/ring height for the scope you need on line on their site.
